El Prat Airport is located six miles (10 km) south of Barcelona and is connected to the city centre by various means:
The Aerobus leaves every 10-15 minutes and stops at Plaza de Catalonia in the city centre. The ride takes about 30 minutes. From there you can catch metro L3 from metro station Catalunya to Liceu or take a taxi. The Price for a one-way ticket is € 4.05 and € 7.00 for a return ticket.
There's a RENFE train (L1) every 30 minutes to Plaza de Catalunya in the city centre from about 5:25 to 23:06 (check timetables for updates on www.renfe.es). Follow the illustrated signs to the airport train station. Fare is about € 2.80 and travel time is about 25 minutes. The trains are air conditioned and have plenty of luggage space. From Plaça de Catalunya you can catch the metro L3 from metro station Catalunya to Liceu using the same ticket or take a taxi.
Taxis are available at the airport 24 hours, fare is about € 25. Travel time is about 20 minutes.
Atesa, Avis, Europcar, and Hertz car rentals are available at the airport.
The airport travel information desk is open from 9:30 A.M. to 8 P.M.
Note: Taking the train into the city and then a taxi to your hotel should cost about half the price of a taxi from the airport.
By Train The main railway station is Estació de Sants. From there you can catch the metro L3 from metro station Sants-Estació to Liceu or take a taxi.
By car Drive on Ronda Litoral until you arrive to the exit Port Vell, from where you can get to the Ramblas and to Plaça de Catalunya in the city center.
