| Barcelona Beaches – Tourist Information |
|
Barcelona is the only European city on the Mediterranean with beaches, a unique holiday destination. The smooth and warm climate together with the fine golden sand and shallow waters of its beaches make Barcelona ideal for combining a city break with a beach vacation.
The beaches of the capital of Catalonia stretch out over 4.5 kilometres, and are divided into different parts. Towards the south end in front of the port you will find Sant Sebastià Beach. On the right of the city centre, la playa Barceloneta - the closest one from our Hotel en Las Ramblas - continues until the Olympic Port. From there you will find Nova Icària Beach, the trendy and funky Bogatell Beach with chirinquitos where DJ's from various clubs spin music in the afternoon. Onwards to the north you will find Mar Bella Beach, Nova Mar Bella Beach, Llevant Beach and the Parc del Fòrum bathing area.
The beaches of Barcelona perfectly complement the cultural attractions of the city. Throughout the year they offer a great variety of events and activities to. You can also of course just take a stroll on the boulevard, go bike riding or rollor blading, enjoy fresh seafood in one of the many restaurants or admire the sunset from one of the chirinquito's or beach bar's terraces. |
